The Morning Light

THE MORNING LIGHT ^🎶

When the morning light is breaking
over the mountains
and night is fleeing from the
valleys slumbering,
my eyes are opened to
behold the presence of
Jesus standing by my side.

When the sun’s last rays are sinking
beneath the ocean,
and day flees westward at the
night’s encroachment,
my heart rejoices to
behold the presence of
Jesus standing by my side.

He is here —
close beside me now
beckoning me onward
up this road —
He will shepherd,
He will guide me now;
Jesus loves me as his own
