News from Masulita Uganda
July 2010
|
Greetings to you all. It has been long since we
updated our website. The Lord has been faithful to
us throughout these past months. In the first half
of the year we embarked on many fields of ministry.
We have achieved much and are seeing great success.
We thank God for, as the world suffered during the
credit crunch and other economic problems, we have
looked to him for his providence and protection. He
has been faithful to fulfill all His promises.
At the beginning of this year, we held our annual
conference as we do every year and we saw about
1200 people come to attend with us. The theme this
year was, “Empowering a Generation to Lead.” We had
to pitch camp outside in yard of the church. Pastor
Gordon Banks from Overcomer Covenant Church was the
main speaker. |

front for prayer.
We had a good time and great
teaching. We thank God the weather was fine,
with no rain, and quite hot and bright --
something we could endure as we were
studying the word of God.
During the conference,
there was another event that took place,
the launching of a Christian Primary School
located at our church. It is named Yesu Akwagala
Nursery and Primary School. We first began
with a pre-primary school and then four
classes from P-1 through P-4. Part of the
school is being housed in our Children's
Church building and the rest is in the
four-class school building that was built
later. |

This
is the dedication of the new school building and
school staff (above) for the new task in which
they are now engaged -- educating the children. This occurred on the last day of
the conference. The UCOM mission directors and
Missionaries from Overcomer Covenant Church were
present to pray for both the school and the new
staff.
The
school opened on the first of February at 8
am. About 250 pupils turned out that morning for
their first day of school and it was a joy to
Masulita Worship Centre to see part of the vision
fulfilled that we
have had for years, manifested this day. |

In the month of May we had a
three-day youth conference in which we saw over 150
youths attend. |
We
are planning more projects and we will be updating
you on all that we will be achieving. May the Lord
bless you all for your support, financially,
suggestions and guidance, and your prayers. Thank
you so much.
